Bay News Network, Visakhapatnam: Air Commodore S Badyal, Deputy Director General, NCC Directorate, AP on his maiden visit to NCC Group Visakhapatnam after assuming charge, inspected the “Guard of Honour” presented by cadets of 13 (A) Bn NCC. Cadets of Dr. VSK Govt Jr College, Visakhapatnam dressed immaculately presented a high standard of Drill which was appreciated by the dignitary. He interacted with the Associate NCC Officers, Cadets of 13 (A) Bn NCC who had represented AP Directorate in Republic Day Contingent – 2012 at New Delhi and Staff of the Unit. Air Commodore S Badyal appreciated the efforts of the Staff of the Unit in maintaining a high standard under the leadership of Colonel Johnson Houlend, Commanding Officer of 13 (A) Bn NCC.

Later Air Commodore S Badyal, accompanied by Col Roveen, Director, AP Directorate visited the Headquarters, NCC Group, Visakhapatnam where he was briefed by Captain (IN) M Dimri, Group Commander, about the achievements of the Group. Later he presided over a Selection Board of Associate NCC Officers assisted by the Group Commander, Sister Belsy Jose, Principal, St Ann’s College for Women, Visakhaptnam, Colonel R Chauhan, Additional Director (Personnel), AP Directorate, and Surgeon Commander B Vijay Kumar, Commanding Officer, 4(A) Naval Medical Unit NCC and Wing Commander SR Gupta, Commanding Officer, 6(A) Air Squadron NCC.
