Bay News Network, Visakhapatnam: The due date for e-filing of returns for the specified category of individuals and HUF i.e.the tax  payers whose total income exceeds Rs.10 Lakhs of Rupees and for whom such filing has been made mandatory, has been extended upto 31.08.2012 from the earlier prescribed date of 31.07.2012 by the Central Board of Direct Taxes, in exercise of powers conferred to it under section 119 of the Incometax Act, 1961.

Accordingly, the assessees who are liable to file such e-returns by 31st July, 2012 as per the provisions of section 139 of the Incometax Act, 1961 may take the note about the above change and may file on or before 31.08.2012 now, informed M.S.Sukumar Incometax Officer (Headquarters) (PR & Coord.), O/o the Chief Commissioner of Incometax, Visakhapatnam.
