Bay News Network, Visakhapatnam: The Finals of the Eastern Naval Command Basketball Championship 2012-13 was held at Command Gymnasium, Visakhapatnam today, 17 Aug 12. The four-day Event conducted by INS Satavahana had commenced on 14 Aug 12. Six teams namely Fleet A, Fleet B, Local Flotilla, Local Ashore, Submarines and Naval Officer-in-Charge (Tamil Nadu) participated in the Tourney. The Championship conducted on league cum knockout basis comprised eleven matches.

The Championship Playoff for 2012-13 held between the Fleet ‘A’ and the Submarines Teams was won by the Fleet ‘A’ Team. Commodore Dilbag Singh, Commodore Commanding Submarines (East) was the Chief Guest at the Closing Ceremony and gave away the prizes to the Winners.
