Bay News Network, Visakhapatnam: A seminar on Information Technology with a central theme of ‘Advances in Cyber Security and Networks for Naval Personnel’ was conducted at the Samudrika Naval Auditorium on Thurs-day, 02 August 12. Vice Admiral Anil Chipra, AVSM, Flag Officer Commanding0in-Chief, Eastern Naval Command inaugurated the Seminar and spoke of the importance of Cyber Security in the present day world.

Eminent speakers from leading IT majors HP, Symantec, VM ware, Dax Networks and Fluke Networks presented Papers on the emerging technologies in Software and Hardware, covering topics such as Data Leakage Prevention, Thin Clients Technology, Virtuali-sation and Cloud computing, Networking and storage solutions. The seminar attended by Flag officers, Senior Officers and over 400 Naval personnel concluded with presentation of mementos to the Speakers.
