14. Sarve vedaa yatpadamaamananti
Tapaagamsi sarvaani cha yadvadanti
Yadichchanto brahmacharyam charanti
Tatte padagm sangrahena braveemyomityetat
Meaning : The goal all Vedas speak about, the target of all penance or tapas and the sole aspiration of all Brahmacharya (austerities like celibancy etc. keeping in view the Brahman as the ideal to be reached) practised by the Rishis – let me tell you about that briefly. That is this Om (the Pranava).
Comment: In his inimitable style of teaching, the God asked him to speak of it and answered the question himself that the total description of the experienced truth is Om. More than this, there are no words to describe it.
16. Etaddyevaaksharam Brahma
Etaddyevaaksharam param
Etaddyevaakshram gjnaatvaa
Yo yadichchati tasya tat
Meaning : Whoever knows (Or learns) about this imperishable Om, the Brahman, the ultimate, and yearns for it (seeks it) shall reach it (or obtains it).
Comment: An intense desire to achieve it would result in Tappas leading to its attainment.
17. Etadaalambanagm sreshtam
Etadaalambanam param
Etadaalambanam gjnaatvaa
Brahmaloke maheeyate
… to be continued
