Panacea to check red tapism and bribery
S. Ravindra Nath, Visakhapatnam: A panacea to check red-tapism and bribery, in the Government institutions, is coming up shortly in the State.Whether it is the Revenue or the Education or any other department you need not to go around the officers for the signatures and other aspects. Caste, Nativity Certificate or any other certificate all you have to do is to fill the prescribed online application form and lo behold, with a click you can get the required certificate, surprisingly original! More over, suppose if you want a native certificate, of Visakhapatnam, you can get it within ten minutes from anywhere in the state. The wonderful services, removing all hurdles which we are facing now, will come into realisation in the state shortly, in the name of Me- Seva. “Digitalisation work of all the records is almost over. MROs signatures are also getting ready”, H D Hasim Shariff, Visakhapatnam District Revenue Officer stated. Speaking to the Bay News on Monday he said that Sanjay Jaju, an IT icon and State IT secretary who introduced E- Seva services in the State is monitering the entire Me- Seva Project.
The senior officials feel that the Me- Seva services will bring revolutionary changes in the state public administration system with the online services, after the E- Seva. The programme will be initiated with the Revenue and Education services and will be extended to the other departments. The State Government is planning to establish the Me- Seva centres in major panchayts, in number more than E- Seva centres, which are now
working in Mandal headquarters only, Hasim shariff detailed. The Government had invited applications to establish Me- Seva centres and the companies like AP Online and CMC came forward and the proposals are now under the State Government consideration, Hasim shariff said. “As per the prior plan the Me- Seva has to materialise by the June 1st. But it may take more one month before it started as the MROs are verifying their signatures”, he clarified.
